Isreal says “Shalom” to flouride in their drinking water.

#water #drinking water #fluoride

“German, who previously as mayor of Herzliya opposed “forcing” residents to take the mineral with every drop they drink, said there were more effective and safer ways to protect children’s teeth – such as fluoride pills, toothpastes and education.”

Fluoride has come under attention because its shown to be ineffective when ingested says new research. Fluoride *is* effective when applied only topically, such as in toothpaste.  But fluoride in the body is toxic to the nervous system.

If you’re concerned about fluoride in the water, only Reverse Osmosis water filtration can remove fluoride.  Generic carbon filters like that in a Brita or Pur are unable to remove fluoride.

Crestwood, IL water case on the way to closure.

#TCE #Water

Closure is legally close for the residents in Crestwood, IL. The town’s administration was caught after decades of pumping tainted water to residents. Crestwood had their ground water polluted with a chemical called Vinyl Chloride. The EPA stepped in and said that the well should never be used again. Instead Crestwood started the get their drinking water from Lake Michigan. However the reopened the well and blended 20% of the tainted well water with the Lake Michigan water. Vinyl Chloride is a known carcinogen. Many Crestwood residents became ill from this toxic chemical.

If Vinyl Chloride is a concern, we can test for it.  If you want to be safe, use Reverse Osmosis to filter your drinking water.

World Water Day!

Quick facts

Average American uses 80-100 gallon of water per day.

Bottles water is mostly made from tap water.

One leak, one drip per second can waste 30,000 gallons of water per year.

Q: The number one question we get here at Angel Water is, “Why has my water bill increased dramatically?”

A: Most consumers assume there’s a problem with their water treatment equipment. However 90% of the leaks we find are from toilets. Inside the toilet it’s very easy for a water leak to go unnoticed. Water can leak from two places in a toilet.  First, a toilet can leak from inside the water reservoir at the overfill tube. Second it can leak from the flapper at the base of the water reservoir. A single leaky toilet can waste 200-500 gallons of water a day. That’s a tremendous amount of wasted water. While water treatment equipment, like a water softener, only uses 35-50 gallons of water every two to three days to backwash.

The state of Chromium-6, Part 2

This is a continuation of my first blog post regarding Chromium-6.

“MILES O’BRIEN: Wise researcher Amie Holmes showed me what scientists can say for certain about the link between chromium 6 and cancer. These are slides of human lung cells in the midst of replicating, a process called mitosis.

In normal cells, there are two centrosomes, the yellowish-white dots. They search and capture 46 chromosomes each, then pull apart, making an identical daughter cell.”

The state of Chromium-6

From: http://www.pbs.org/newshour/updates/science/jan-june13/hinkley_03-13.html

This is an excellent article about the state of Chromium-6 in water supplies.

How does your city rank on toxic chromium-6?

Just a reminder.  Please test your water!

To remove Chromium-6 from water, we recommend water testing and a reverse osmosis drinking water filter. Cheap carbon filters, like those in a refrigerator, sink filter or pitcher arn’t rated by the WQA (Water Quality Association) to remove this contaminant.

BPA is known as the “modern day lead” and the state of California is about to declare it toxic to the reproductive system.

” Study after study by scientists from around the globe has connected the plastics and food packaging ingredient with more than a dozen serious health problems, including reproductive system abnormalities, cancer, behavioral disorders and diabetes.”
