Missouri failed to notify its residents for 18 years that TCE (Trichloroethylene) was spilled by a metal manufacturing plant and had continued to seep its way down into the local aquifer and caused contamination of water in the area next to the metal plant.
Reverse osmosis filtration is the only way to remove (99.8%) TCE from the water. Standard well water purification won’t suffice to remove.
